A Yellowknife man who triggered an investigation after being reported missing more than a month ago is no longer considered a missing person, state Mounties in a news release issued Tuesday afternoon.
Colin Ford, 45, was reported missing in early December. Police stated early on in the investigation they believed Ford may have travelled outside of the territory.
The missing person case was still active last week, as police hadn't been "able to make contact with (Ford)."
It's unclear at this time whether or not recent police contact with Ford prompted the case to be closed.
"The thanks the media and the citizens of Yellowknife for their assistance," states Const. Heather Cosenzo in the news release.
