A variety of musical acts will hit the NACC stage this week in support of a local high school.
Beaton Mackenzie, an educational assistant at Sir John Franklin High School, organized the High School-apalooza fundraising concert to buy instruments for the schoolSA国际影视传媒檚 music program.
SA国际影视传媒淚tSA国际影视传媒檚 a lot of variety of music from jazz to instrumental to bands with folk and original music and thereSA国际影视传媒檚 choirs singing too,SA国际影视传媒 said Mackenzie.
The first half of the show is made up of solo acts, while the second half will be performances by local bands and choirs. Each set will be about 15 minutes to accommodate all the different acts, said Mackenzie.
SA国际影视传媒淭here are present students that are in the music program for the choir and band and students that are graduating,SA国际影视传媒 said Mackenzie, adding that some have been accepted to university music programs.
SA国际影视传媒淲e have alumnus, Brendan Callas whoSA国际影视传媒檚 a former Sir John student, musician Carmen Braden and Pat Braden,SA国际影视传媒 he said.
If they sell out, the concert will raise over $8,000 for new instruments, said Mackenzie.

Tickets are $30, and the show starts at 7:30 p.m at the on Wednesday evening.
