Board trustees from both the Yellowknife Education District No. 1 and Yellowknife Catholic Schools held their first meetings this week since the Oct. 15 election.

First on the agenda were election of chairs and vice chairs for the upcoming year. At Yk 1, John Stephenson returns as head of the public school board, with Tina Drew as vice-chair. At the Catholic school district, Miles Welsh, will also return as chairperson while Erin Currie will take the role of vice-chair.
