Agnico EagleSA国际影视传媒檚 Meliadine mine is nearing commercial production and poured its first gold on the morning of Feb. 21.

Meliadine mine, 25 km north of Rankin Inlet, as well as the upcoming Amaruq mine, are Agnico EagleSA国际影视传媒檚 new projects that will replace the Meadowbank mine, which produced more than two million ounces of gold over close to a decade. Meadowbank is scheduled to cease production later this year, but will serve as a processing centre for Amaruq ore.

Agnico Eagle purchased the Kivalliq properties from Cumberland Resources in 2007 and Comaplex Minerals in 2010.
