The GNWT announced Friday that in Inuvik and Hay River the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine is now open to all residents 18 years and older.

The government also expanded Yellowknife bookings to include those aged 50 and older. In the coming weeks, will open up to the general population.
Since the NWT began vaccine rollout on Dec. 31, 2020, almost 20,000 doses have been delivered to all 33 communities.
The GNWT encourages residents to check the frequently to ensure they book second doses within the six week window. The department of Health and Social Services (HSS) advised that vaccine teams will return to communities with the recommended time frame to administer second doses.

To date, the NWT has received four shipments of the Moderna vaccine with another 16,300 doses anticipated in mid-March.
