The Annauma Community Foundation has announced the launch of its inaugural Community Nominated Award.

This $100,000 award is designed to recognize and support community-based organizations in Nunavut, which Annauma says underscores its commitment to supporting local groups that understand and serve the needs of their communities.

The Community Nominated Award is intended to provide financial support to a registered charity or non-profit organization that has demonstrated a notable impact within its community over the past year. The nomination period will run annually from June 1 to Aug. 30. The award winner will be announced no later than Sept. 30 of the same year.

Nunavummiut are encouraged to nominate any registered charities or non-profit organizations they believe have had a positive impact on their communities through programming, events or other public initiatives. Nominators should be prepared to demonstrate how the chosen organization has met a need within the community in the past year, in addition to providing contact information for a representative of the organization.

Nomination criteria and submission guidelines can be found online at , or through AnnaumaSA国际影视传媒檚 community engagement lead, Candice Sudlovenick, at 867-222-5502 or community@annauma.ca
