Update: The city has waived all admission fees for the closing celebration events to ensure everyone can participate.

The city is hosting a series of themed swimming sessions leading up to the Ruth Inch Memorial Pool's closure.

The facility is closing this spring, as the new aquatic centre is slated to open.

Although there's not yet an exact date when the new pool will be in use, that timing "will be shared with the public in the coming weeks," according to the city.

For now, the municipality's upcoming celebrations, spanning a month (having started on March 22), are a chance to say goodbye to Ruth Inch Memorial Pool.
