Edmonton man charged with unlawfully being in home in Fort Resolution

An 18-year-old from Edmonton has been charged after he was allegedly inside an Elder's home without permission in Fort Resolution.

According to police, it happened on April 3 at around 10:15 a.m. after Fort Resolution received two calls about someone being inside a residence who didn't belong there. The home, an Elder's residence, was empty at the time.

Officers arrived and found a man inside and after telling the suspect to get out, they searched the premises and found no one else in the home.

David Kevin Ndayishimiye, 18, from Edmonton was arrested and charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling house. He was released on the condition that he not be in the community at all until a Territorial Court appearance scheduled for June 11.
