Former Nunavut MLA Steve Mapsalak has passed away.
Mapsalak represented the constituencies of Akulliq and Aivilik during the 2nd and 4th legislative assemblies.

"Mr. Mapsalak was an accomplished hunter who served his community and territory as a mayor, municipal councillor and member of the Nunavut Wildlife Management Board.
