Aircraft reportedly makes emergency landing on Highway 1

Police in Fort Simpson are currently responding to what it's calling an 'aviation incident' that happened Thursday afternoon.

According to initial reports from , an aircraft was reported to have made an emergency landing on Highway 1. It's not known if the aircraft landed north or south of the Liard River or if it happened near the village itself.

A statement from NWT stated that the Transportation Safety Board is the lead agency for all aviation incidents. SA国际影视传媒 will update the situation when more information is received.
