A look at the numbers relating to turnover within the territorySA国际影视传媒檚 health system shows dozens of employees deciding to leave the field in the NWT.
According to figures provided to SA国际影视传媒 on Feb. 13 by the GNWT, the NWT Health and Social Services Authority hired 182 full-time employees in the 2023-24 fiscal year. In that same time frame, 163 employees exited full-time employment.
The majority of those departures are people quitting. A total of 122 employees resigned in 2024. Adding to the number of exits were 15 workers who had their terms expire, 19 retirees and the remaining seven were denoted as SA国际影视传媒渙therSA国际影视传媒.
These numbers do not include physicians, according to Todd Sasaki, a communications manager with the Department of Finance. SA国际影视传媒 has previously asked Health Minister Lesa Semmler for those statistics, but she said she did not know the answer.

GNWT employees make up about a quarter of the territorySA国际影视传媒檚 workforce, at about 6,000 people, according to Budget 2025.
