Inuvik investigating Saturday morning stabbing

Victim found with numerous stab wounds; two suspects sought

Inuvik are investigating a stabbing that took place in the early morning hours on Saturday.

Police stated that they were told of a man having been stabbed several times by two people. When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from numerous stab wounds, but the suspects had already fled the scene. The victim was transported out of the community for further treatment.

The Territorial Crime Reduction Unit is helping police with their investigation along with G Division Forensic Identification Services.

Police are asking anyone with security cameras between and including the intersection of Navy Road and the Bypass, as well as the intersection of Navy Road and Kugmallit Road - including Adams Road - to check their footage for any suspicious activity between the hours of 12:15 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. on Saturday.
