Iqaluit hosts artisans market

It was a windy but sunny day for Iqaluit's artisans at the 2024 Summer in the Square Artisans Market.

This annual event was free of charge for artisans, as the tables and canopies were provided by the city with the goal of enticing residents interested in purchasing their wares.

Said Patty Robertson, who was selling hand-made crocheted headbands perfect for that day's weather with her son Henry, "This isn't a business. It's just something I make in my spare time and sell."

She said each headband takes about a day-and-a-half to make.
