Former Iqaluit resident accused of child porn offences charged in Winnipeg

On Dec. 4, the Winnipeg Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit executed a searched warrant in conjunction with Nunavut SA国际影视传媒檚 Specialized Investigative Team at a location where a suspect was residing. He is believed to be involved in five different police investigations over the past three years before moving from Iqaluit.

The Winnipeg Police Service has charged Robin Idlout, 27, with possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography. Idlout has since been released from custody, and his next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 13 in Winnipeg.

The Nunavut says it takes child pornography and sexual assaults very seriously and works to ensure that children are saved and protected from further sexual exploitation.
