A 23-year-old Norman Wells man has been charged by police after what appears to be a serious incident over the weekend.
According to the , officers were told about a stabbing that occurred at a residence on Sept. 22. When they arrived, they confirmed a person had been the victim of a stabbing.
Further investigation by officers revealed a significant altercation had occurred at the residence and it became known that another person had been both shot with a crossbow and bear-sprayed. Both victims were transported out of the community for treatment.
Police eventually found Teagan Sutherland, 23, and took him into custody. HeSA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½™s since been charged with breaking and entering with intent; disguised with intent to commit an offence; two counts of uttering threats against a person; possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and aggravated assault.
At the time of his arrest, Sutherland had an active warrant for his arrest and was already facing charges from a prior incident on Sept. 11. Those charges include breaking and entering with intent; two counts of disguised with intent to commit an offence; two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; two counts of assault with a weapon; and uttering threats against a person.
Sutherland made an appearance before a Justice of the Peace on all charges and was remanded into custody until his next court appearance today.
