Iqalummiut flocked to the Canadian North tent and the Nunnavut Tunngavik Incorporated (NTI) barbecue for Nunavut Day festivities on July 9.
This year's celebration was especially significant following devolution in January, and the April 1 25th anniversary celebrations of the formal creation of the territory.
There was food, swag, contests and live music as the Alianait Festival, which started on July 5, was also in full swing. Activities for the festival ranged from art exhibits to dance classes.
