Yellowknife have charged a man for allegedly pointing an imitation firearm while visiting the city's sobering centre.
responded to a call on March 6. Officers identified and arrested one person without incident at the downtown location, according to the police.
"The investigation revealed that the suspect had a black revolver, which was retrieved by police. confirmed that the firearm was an imitation," state.
Following its investigation, Darren Kenny, 43, has been charged with pointing a firearm, uttering threats against a person and using an imitation firearm as an offence.
"The suspect remains in custody and will appear in territorial court on March 25," the police stated.
