The annual NWT Cross-Country Championships happened in its home base of Fort Providence on Sept. 27 with athletes from seven communities taking to the trail courses beside the Mackenzie River.

Several age group titles were up for grabs and here's who won what division and from where:

U6 boys - Felix Koop, Yellowknife
U6 girls - Aurelia Whelly, Fort Simpson
U8 girls - Skyler Schellenberg, Hay River
U8 boys - Levi Hanna, Fort Simpson
U10 girls - Kate Mantla, Behchoko
U10 boys - Samuel Woehl, Hay River
U12 girls - Emma Wheler, Yellowknife
U12 boys - Smith Coombs, Hay River
U14 girls - Lila Townson, Yellowknife
U14 boys - Yuma McEachern, Yellowknife
U16 girls - Liliana Marrai, Yellowknife
U16 boys - Dylan Applejohn, Yellowknife
U18 girls - Marie-Luna Langlois, Yellowknife
