A 27-year-old man is back behind bars after being arrested shortly following his release from custody.
According to police, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery on the evening of April 18. A man had allegedly attempted to rob a business on Old Airport Road with a knife and fled the scene about half an hour before the call was made.
Police responded with help from the Police Dog Services Unit and Forensic Identification Unit. During the search investigation, officers realized that the suspect was a person that they had just released from custody after executing an unrelated outstanding warrant.
Kallas Drybones was eventually found and arrested again without incident. He's been charged with robbery, uttering threats, credit card misuse, possession of property obtained by crime less than $5,000 and mischief under $5,000.
Drybones appeared before a Justice of the Peace and was remanded into custody until his next court appearance.
