Human Resources Minister David Akeeagok has announced a significant salary increase to take effect Sept. 30 that will affect the majority of Government of Nunavut (GN) employees.
GN staff in the Nunavut Employees Union (NEU), and senior management groups will receive a nine per cent salary increase. An additional two per cent will be applied to more senior and specialized roles that will allow for role development and incentives for employees to take on added responsibilities.
