If there was one thing everyone knew Barry Jacobson loved, it was a good game of baseball.
So it was fitting that friends and family paid tribute to his memory with a weekend-long tournament July 26 to 28 around the diamonds at Peggy Curtis Field. Interest was so strong for the idea that the event had to be capped at 13 teams.
A moment of silence was held in memory of Jacobson during the opening ceremony. In the end, the Tuk Whitecaps were the 'A' division champions while the BnB Cyclones were the 'B' division winners.
