Remote fireworks and open fire permits
Those wanting to shoot off fireworks or enjoy a big fire to welcome the sun back in January can get their permit online while the primary Inuvik Fire Department office staff take a much needed rest over the holidays. Firefighters remain on call for emergencies over the break. Visit to register for a fireworks permit or for an open-fire permit.

Library wants your old puzzles
Inuvik Centennial Library is establishing a puzzle section and is looking for 'gently' used puzzles from the community. Puzzles can be exchanged for new ones to keep a steady variety of options for lovers of the activity. The library asks that all puzzles are in good shape and have all pieces. Email library@inuvik.ca or phone (867) 777-8620 for more information.
Sunrise Festival coming soon
The 2025 calendar will feature a party early on as the Inuvik Sunrise Festival is set for Jan. 10-12.
