Paulou Ittunga memorial tournament set for Nov. 1

A volleyball classic is being served up at East Three School to kick off November. The annual Paulou Ittunga memorial tournament is set for Nov. 1 and will run all weekend. The deadline to register a team is Oct. 28. Email Lisa Murphy at lmurphy@bdec.nt.ca to register your team.

Business awards deadline extended

Anyone hoping to nominate their favourite local business for one of three catagories now has until Oct. 19 to submit their nominations for the Beaufort Delta Business Trade Show Awards competition. Community holiday craft fair booking tables

Another big craft fair is in the works for the holidays. The Inuvik Community Holiday Craft fair will run Nov. 23 and 24 in the Aurora College foyer and organizers are accepting orders for tables. Tables are $50, limited one per vendor and are on a first come, first served basis. No power is available. Bundle up on Aklak Air flights

It`s that time of year again. Aklak Air has announced all passengers must wear proper winter attire to be allowed on flights as of Oct. 15. This includes parka, toque, winter gloves and ski pants. The requirement will remain in effect until April 15 or the discretion of the flight crew.
