Half-ice curling is back at Inuvik Curling Club
Kids, grab your brooms SA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½” the Inuvik Curling Club is launching its half-ice curling program on Oct. 20 and running every Sunday for eight weeks. The curling basics program is open to youth age 5 to 8 and costs $40 for the whole season. Visit www.inuvikcurling.com to sign up.
Adult curling lessons coming up
It's not just kids who can learn to get their sweep on SA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½” an adult 'learn to curl' evening is set for Oct. 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. Cost to attend the evening is $20 and prospective athletes are asked to wear warm clothing. Firearms safety course upcoming
If you are more prone to boomsticks than broomsticks, Aurora College is offering a non-restricted firearms safety course Oct. 19 fro 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with examination on Oct. 20. Completion of the course is a requirement for a firearms possession and acquisition license. Bridge Watch training in Inuvik
Western Arctic Marine Training centre is bringing its Bridge Watch Training to Inuvik.
