1) What made you decide to run for a town council seat?

ISA国际影视传媒檓 just in the process of retiring from RockySA国际影视传媒檚 Plumbing and Heating. So I figure itSA国际影视传媒檚 time to come forward and do my part to support the community that has supported me for the past 30 years.

2) What experience do you bring to the table?

ISA国际影视传媒檝e lived in Inuvik for over 50 years. This place is my home. My intentions are for the betterment of our community. As a parent, business owner and operator, I think that I can bring a common-sense and realistic approach to revitalize our community, as well as to ensure council is accountable on how and what we are spending our money on.

3) What do you see as the big issues facing Inuvik this election?

I think we need to promote economic growth within the community. I feel we need to step back and re-evaluate what we need to do, to encourage our young people to stay in Inuvik.

4) How do you propose that these issues be resolved?

Work with local businesses; form an economic development committee to research opportunities for business and industry, as a start.

5) What is your favourite thing about Inuvik?

What isnSA国际影视传媒檛? Inuvik is the best thing about Inuvik. I went to school here, raised my family here. Gonna retire and... die here.

6) Anything else you would like to add?

ISA国际影视传媒檓 not a politician, but I care about this place. I now have the time to commit to it. ItSA国际影视传媒檚 kinda like the third period for me.

The advance vote for the municipal election is Oct. 11 and election day is Oct. 21.
