Murder charge laid following death in Sanikiluaq

Nunavut have made an arrest following the death of a Sanikiluaq woman.

Danny Paul Eyaituk, 38, has been formally charged with first-degree murder after Annie Tracy Oqaituq, 36, was found deceased in their shared home.

SA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½˜VSA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½™ Division Major Crime Unit and its Forensic Identification Section carried out an investigation in the case, leading to the criminal charge.

In an April 22 news release, the expressed thanks to the residents of Sanikiluaq for their assistance throughout the investigation.

Eyaituk, who was charged in April 19, is due to appear in court on April 23 in Iqaluit.
