An update was published by the GNWT on May 10.

As of 9:03 a.m., the Peel River Ice Crossing is expected to close at 4 p.m. today.

SA国际影视传媒淧eel River Ice Crossing will close today, May 10, 2024 at 4:00pm or earlier if the conditions become unsafe to the traveling public,SA国际影视传媒 reads the notice. SA国际影视传媒淒epending on weather conditions the Ice Bridges may close with little or no notice. Low clearance vehicles are not recommended to travel on the Peel and Mackenzie River ice crossings as well as the Tsiigehtchic access ice crossings at this time.

The Dempster Highway is currently open but weight restrictions may be in place on the Yukon side. The Inuvik-Tuktoyaktuk Highway is open, with narrow sections between kilometres 26 and 30. Drivers are advised to expect delays and be on the watch for equipment working, particularly between kilometres 26 and 70.

Winter access to Tsiigehtchic, the Mackenzie River Ice Crossing and the Aklavik Ice Road have officially closed for the season.
