The Peel River Ice crossing is edging closer to its spring closure.

An update was published by the GNWT on May 9.

As of 11:40 a.m., the Peel River Ice Crossing is on 24 hours notice.

SA国际影视传媒淒epending on weather conditions the Ice Bridges may close with little or no notice,SA国际影视传媒 reads the notice. SA国际影视传媒淟ow clearance vehicles are not recommended to travel on the Peel and Mackenzie River ice crossings as well as the Tsiigehtchic access ice crossings at this time.

SA国际影视传媒淗istorical Statistics show the Peel River ice crossing was closed in early May, the Mackenzie River ice crossing was closed on average about the second week in May and the Tsiigehtchic winter access was closed in early May.SA国际影视传媒

The Dempster Highway is currently open but weight restrictions may be in place on the Yukon side. The Inuvik-Tuktoyaktuk Highway is open, with narrow sections between kilometres 26 and 30. Drivers are advised to expect delays and be on the watch for equipment working, particularly between kilometres 26 and 70.

Winter access to Tsiigehtchic, the Mackenzie River Ice Crossing and the Aklavik Ice Road have officially closed for the season.
