Drugs and guns seized after report of shots fired in Fort Resolution

Three people have been arrested and drugs and firearms have been confiscated after reports of several shots being fired in Fort Resolution, according to the .

The police responded to a report about shots fired inside a residence on March 25. An individual was believed to be in danger at that time. 

Officers entered the home, where several people who were not tenants were inside along with "obvious evidence of drug trafficking and a loaded firearm," the stated in a March 28 news release.

Three arrests were made. A search warrant was obtained and the subsequent inspection of the premises turned up approximately 465 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 79 grams of illicit cannabis, two loaded sawed-off shotguns, $500 in cash as well as several cellphones and other drug paraphernalia, the Mounties stated. 
 
Karrar Al-Dabagh, 24, of Ontario and Mohammed Sessay, 23, of Alberta have both been charged with possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, being unlawfully in a dwelling house, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
 
Sessay, who was earlier released by the courts subject to conditions prohibiting him from possessing weapons in relation to existing drug and weapon charges out of Edmonton, also faces a charge of failure to comply with a release order condition.
 
Al-Dabagh was also subject to a weapons prohibition order, release order conditions stemming from drug charges out of Ontario, as well as a probation order. Additionally, there was an active warrant for his arrest for drug and probation matters out of Ontario, according to police. He further faces charges of possession of a weapon contrary to an order, failure to comply with release order conditions and failure to comply with probation order conditions.
 
Both of the accused have been held to appear before a justice of the peace and remain in custody as of Friday morning.
 
The third individual, a 42-year-old female from the Northwest Territories, was released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.
