Fort McPherson man in custody after remains found in arson case linked to Clara Blake

Fort McPherson say they believe they have found Clara BlakeSA国际影视传媒檚 remains in the ruins of a recent residential fire and have arrested a 27-year-old man in relation to the incident.

The police revealed on Dec. 20 that they had found human remains in the aftermath of a residential fire in the community on Dec. 15.

SA国际影视传媒淥n Dec. 20, 2023, the investigator with the Office of the Fire Marshal advised the that human remains had been located during the scene examination. The identity of the deceased will have to be positively confirmed by a medical examiner, however, have reason to believe that the deceased is Clara Blake, who was reported missing in close proximity to the fire,SA国际影视传媒 said NT media relations officer Cpl. Matt Halstead.

An investigation determined the cause of the fire was arson. Police secured the scene until the fire marshal could examine it.

SA国际影视传媒淎 27-year-old man from Fort McPherson was arrested in connection with the arson during the officerSA国际影视传媒檚 initial response. This man was charged and remanded into custody. The investigation into this incident is ongoing and the Northwest Territories Major Crime Unit has taken carriage of the investigation. Charges relating to this incident may be upgraded in the future based on the results of the ongoing investigation,SA国际影视传媒 Halstead stated. Blake is 22 years old and was considered missing earlier this week.
