Fort McPherson are thanking Tsiigehtchic residents for their quick response to a gun threat situation that unravelled this morning

Police say they received a complaint on Feb. 27 relating to a potential firearms threat in the charter community.

SA国际影视传媒淎fter consulting with local community officials, a lockdown that included the school and health centre, was initiated by the community,SA国际影视传媒 said Northwest Territories media relations officer Cpl. Matt Halstead. SA国际影视传媒淥fficers were able to quickly locate the subject of complaint and took that person into custody without incident. No injuries were reported to police. This matter remains under investigation and additional information is not available at this time.SA国际影视传媒

Tsiigehtchic does not have its own police force. Fort McPherson is the closest detachment to the community.
