Pope Francis has formally apologized for the Catholic ChurchSA国际影视传媒檚 role in CanadaSA国际影视传媒檚 residential school system.
The Pope issued the apology to CanadaSA国际影视传媒檚 First Nations, Inuit and M茅tis delegates during the last of this weekSA国际影视传媒檚 meetings on Friday.
He said he was SA国际影视传媒渄eeply grievedSA国际影视传媒 by the stories he heard from delegates, particularly stories related to the residential school system.
He said he felt SA国际影视传媒渟orrow and shame for the role that a number of Catholics, particularly those with educational responsibilities, have had in all these things that wounded you, and the abuses you suffered and the lack of respect shown for your identity, your culture, and even your spiritual values.SA国际影视传媒
