Inuvik lay charges in fatal 2021 highway accident

Inuvik have charged the driver of a 2021 fatal single vehicle car crash on the Inuvik-Tuktoyaktuk in the death of the vehicleSA国际影视传媒檚 passenger.

Police formally charged the male, who has not been named, with one count of impaired operation of a conveyance causing death on Jan. 30 following an investigation. He will appear in Inuvik Territorial Court on March 12.

A female, who was not named in the release, died on Aug. 8, 2021 approximately 26 kilometres North of Inuvik. When police arrived, they found her and the driver, who was injured. He was taken to hospital for treatment, where police formed grounds to believe he was not just the driver but also impaired. He was arrested at the hospital and samples of blood were seized and sent to forensic analysis.

Toxicology results confirmed the manSA国际影视传媒檚 blood alcohol content was SA国际影视传媒渁t least 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100mL of blood,SA国际影视传媒 says the release. SA国际影视传媒淕SA国际影视传媒 division traffic services dispatched a collision reconstructionist to collect additional evidence to the crownSA国际影视传媒檚 case.
