Rankin Inlet residents asked to conserve power for two weeks

Qulliq Energy Corporation (QEC) is advising residents of Rankin Inlet to make an effort to conserve power for the next two weeks while emergency repairs are being made to local generator engines.

On Monday, QEC asked for the communitySA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½™s assistance to ensure a reliable power supply during this period by taking measures such as lowering thermostats to 20 C and only using high-energy appliances SA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½” such as stoves, ovens, washers and dryers SA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½” after 7 p.m.

QEC would like to thank residents for their understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
