The police say that the victims were believed to have been 'targeted.' They were transported for medical treatment. There was no indication of their condition in the Mounties' Oct. 8 news release.
The suspects fled the community in a vehicle, according to the . Officers from the Behchoko detachment were able to intercept the vehicle and arrested the four occupants. Those individuals have since been released on conditions.
The police noted that "there is no risk to the general public."
No charges had been laid as of Oct. 8. However, the matter remains under investigation.
