Tsiigehtchic Winter Access road and Mackenzie River crossing on 72 hours notice

Both the Mackenzie ice crossing and Tsiigehtchic Winter access road are on 72 hours notice but could close sooner if the weather changes.

A notice was released by the GNWT on April 30.

Work continues on the Iuvik-Tuktoyaktuk highway, particularly between kilometres 26 and 70. The notice cautions there are narrow sections of road between kilometres 26 and 30 and travellers should expect delays.

The Aklavik Ice Road is closed for the season.
