The T艂谋台ch谦 winter roads might close for the season during the weekend because of warming temperatures.

In a , the Department of Infrastructure stated the roads could close within 72 hours.

They include the the Gam猫t矛, Wekwe猫t矛 and What矛 winter roads.

The possible closures could come as temperatures are forecast to rise above zero next week and portages could quickly deteriorate, the on its website.

"Please schedule to complete all re-supply loads to the communities by no later than Monday evening April 12, 2021," the statement said.

Their closure would come slightly later than last year, when they , but earlier than historical averages.

According to the Department of Infrastructure's , the Wekwe猫t矛 road closes on April 13 and the Gameti and What矛 roads close on April 15.

Opening dates fall on Jan. 28 for the What矛 road, Feb. 19 for the Gam猫t矛 road and March 5 for the Wekwe猫t矛 road.
