The WorkersSA国际影视传媒� Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC) has laid four charges against Diavik Diamond Mines.

A Feb. 2 press release from the WSCC said the charges were officially laid on Jan. 19 under the Mine Health and Safety Act.

SA国际影视传媒淒iavik Diamond Mine is charged with multiple counts alleging violations of the Mine Health and Safety Act, including failure to implement and maintain safe work practices, and failure to take every reasonable measure to protect the health and safety of their employees, as well as other offences,SA国际影视传媒� reads the release. SA国际影视传媒淭he charges were filed following an investigation by WSCC safety officers in relation to an incident that occurred on Jan. 26, 2023, at the Diavik Diamond Mine near Lac de Gras that resulted in a serious worker injury.

Diavik is scheduled to make its first appearance in court on the matter March 19 in Yellowknife.
