Yellowknife Education District No. 1 is in need of a new superintendent/CEO as incumbent Jameel Aziz has served notice that heSA国际影视传媒檚 moving to Prince George, B.C., to take on a similar role there as of March 25.

YK1 announced AzizSA国际影视传媒檚 pending departure on Friday.

SA国际影视传媒淭he experience he brought from British Columbia has helped guide the district through the planning and roll out of his yearSA国际影视传媒檚 launch of the B.C.-based curriculum,SA国际影视传媒� Yk1 stated in a news release. SA国际影视传媒淗is professionalism and dedication to the district benefitted all of us at YK1.

SA国际影视传媒淲e know that Jameel is committed to creating a smooth transition over the coming months as we begin the recruitment process. We are confident that with our experienced district leadership team in place, this will happen without impacting our classrooms,SA国际影视传媒� the news release continues.

Yk1 added that it intends to use a recruiting firm to identify AzizSA国际影视传媒檚 successor as it casts a net across the NWT and the rest of the country.

Aziz started as YK1 superintendent/CEO in Yellowknife in August 2022, replacing Dr. Cindi Vaselenak.
