Derby time
Rankin Inlet
The dates of the Rankin Inlet fishing derbies have been released.
The trout fishing derby will be held from May 18-21, while the cod fishing derby will go May 25-27.
The prizes in both derbies are as follows.
- 1: $10,000
- 2: $7,000
- 3: $5,000
- 4: $4,000
- 5: $3,000
- 6: $2,000
- 7: $1,000
- 8: $500
Hamlet Day
Baker Lake
The community of Baker Lake held its annual Hamlet Day celebration on May 7. This year's celebrations were expected to be among the largest yet in the community.
