The Cambridge Bay Childcare Society has been able to make some extra purchases thanks to donations from the Ekaluktutiak Hunters and Trappers Organization and Canada North Outfitting.

The organizations recently presented a $1,500 cheque to the daycare. In addition, Canada North Outfitting bid $1,700 to win a winter tent at the Cambridge Bay Childcare Society's auction on Nov. 18.
That tent was then donated to the Ekaluktutiak HTO, which, in turn, raffled it off to a Cambridge Bay hunting guide during the Christmas appreciation party.
"All the funds donated and raised in the community go to our daycare centre," said Cambridge Bay Childcare manager Denica Nahogaloak, "which helps us purchase numerous learning supplies used by staff for the children."
The daycare, which supervises 46 children, from infants up to age six, has been operating since 1990.
Canada North Outfitting has been offering guided hunts and adventure tours in Nunavut since 1981, creating employment opportunities for up to 70 Inuit guides and outfitters each year.
"We are honoured to participate financially in the fundraising efforts of the Childcare Society.SA国际影视传媒� said Shane Black, president of Canada North Outfitting. "The EHTO and Canada North Outfitting know how important a role the Childcare Society plays in the day to day life within the community of Cambridge Bay."
Canada North Outfitting also contributed $500 to the Resolute Food Bank recently.
