Iqaluit man charged following weekend standoff with police

A 48-year-old Iqaluit man has been charged with several firearms-related offences after a standoff with the on Saturday that lasted several hours.

Moses Kilabuk appeared before a justice of the peace and was released with conditions until his next scheduled court appearance on Sept. 23 in Iqaluit.

The Mounties also seized multiple firearms from the residence. The guns were allegedly not properly secured and stored in a safe manner.
