Performer Johnny Reid left a lasting impression and captured some hearts during his concerts in Cambridge Bay on Feb. 9 and 10.
He also offered to act as an ambassador for Cambridge Bay, raising the community's profile on the national stage, said Pam Langan, librarian at the May Hakongak Community Library.
She watched Reid interact with excited youth while visiting the library.
SA国际影视传媒淭he students were looking through the window so Johnny Reid went over and took pictures with all the kids,SA国际影视传媒 Langan said. SA国际影视传媒淗e came in and he was really kind to everybody. He stayed around and shook everybody's hand and was taking as many pictures as he could with the community.... He's really super nice.
SA国际影视传媒淗e just loves the people up here. He said it reminds him of home in Scotland. He said (local residents) were so kind and welcoming to his group,SA国际影视传媒 she added.
Reid, whose performances were arranged in conjunction with the Kitikmeot Trade Show, said he'd like to return to Cambridge Bay someday, according to Langan.
SA国际影视传媒淚 said, 'Oh, we'll get you back somehow,SA国际影视传媒 she said, laughing. Then she suggested that an outdoor concert for Nunavut Day would be a good idea because a much larger crowd could enjoy the festivities.
