A man in Baker Lake who barricaded himself in his residence and who say was armed, was taken into custody Friday afternoon after hours of negotiations.
The 's Critical Incident Team assisted officers from the community on Friday morning in working with the individual.
The police would like to ensure Baker Lake residents that, despite rumours, there were no hostages taken nor was the public in danger, an press release states.
