Police are investigating a death in Arctic Bay.
The man died March 26, and another man is detained.
"At approximately 6:30 a.m. the male was brought to the health centre where he succumbed to his injuries," stated Cpl. Henry Coman.
Police say the death of the local man followed an altercation.
The V Division's Major Crimes Unit and the Office of the Chief Coroner are investigating the incident, and the Office of the Chief Coroner has ordered an autopsy.
A 30-year-old Arctic Bay man is in custody as the investigation continues, stated Coman.
