Drugs, shotguns seized by police in Inuvik hotel room raid

Two people are facing firearm and drug related charges after executed a search warrant at an Inuvik hotel last week.

Acting on information that an Alberta man, released on a recognizance, was breaching release conditions, Inuvik say they attended the hotel on Feb. 12.

During the manSA国际影视传媒檚 arrest, police observed drug paraphernalia in the hotel room. Three individuals, not named by police, were subsequently arrested for drug possession, according to a news release issued by Inuvik on Tuesday.

After obtaining a search warrant, police raided the hotel room.

Three shotguns, ammunition, drugs, digital scales and SA国际影视传媒減ackaging materialSA国际影视传媒 were seized by Mounties.

Police have not disclosed the type of drug seized during the search.

have charged Tyler Christensen, 28, and Mariah Sharphead, 21, with drug possession and firearm related offences, according to TuesdaySA国际影视传媒檚 news release.

The pair, both from Edmonton, have been remanded into custody and appeared in a Yellowknife court on Feb. 17.
