An Edmonton man has been charged after Inuvik say a search warrant turned up weapons and nearly $70,000 in cash.
Mounties in the Inuvik executed the search warrant at a residence in the community on Saturday, March 9, according to a news release from .
Police say approximately $69,000, along with drug paraphernalia, a knife and bear spray, were located and seized during the search.
Ali Omar- whose age was not provided by police - is charged with possessing property obtained by crime. He's due to appear in a Yellowknife court on Thursday.
