Highway opening schedule changes

The Inuvik-Tuktoyaktuk Highway opening ceremonies will take place in Inuvik and Tuktoyaktuk Wednesday, Nov. 15.

They will start with an official opening ceremony at the Midnight Sun Complex at 10:30 a.m.

Guests will then attend a ribbon-cutting at the start of the highway near Muskrat Road at 12:45 p.m.

An opening ceremony will take place at Kitti Hall in Tuktoyaktuk at 4:30 p.m, with fireworks outside afterward and a community feast.

That same night, the band Collectif9 will be performing as part of the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre's tour at 8 p.m. in Tuktoyaktuk.
