Inuvik make arrest in alleged convenience store robbery

A tip received by Inuvik has led to the arrest of an alleged armed robber.

On April 5, a young male, who canSA国际影视传媒檛 be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was arrested and charged with robbery, an news release stated Friday.

The youth is alleged to have entered the Corner Store convenience store in Inuvik on the evening of April 3, where he demanded cash and brandished a knife.  The clerk didn't hand over any money, but the suspect fled the store with stolen items.

The next day, police appealed for the public's help in identifying and locating the suspect. The plea proved to be successful, as received a tip that led to the youth's arrest.
