LETTER: Paper's space misused

To the editor:

Re: James OSA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½™ConnorSA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½™s SA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½˜commentarySA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½™ about being on the SA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½˜coolSA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½™ side in terms of his personal right wing political views ("Speaking truth to power in 2018," June 13).

It is unfortunate that Mr. OSA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½™Connor feels so compelled to inform us of his personal political views.

This is a misuse of editorial space. (Facebook might be more appropriate for these type of musings.)

Your readers really donSA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½™t want or care to know about these irrelevant personal details.

What they may care about is an objective, well thought out, non-partisan discourse on the current political realities that are shaping our social and economic framework.

I am hopeful that when Mr. OSA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½™Connor is over considering himself SA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½˜coolSA¹ú¼ÊÓ°ÊÓ´«Ã½™ over his political views, that he move on to real journalism that has some credibility in terms of opinion and commentary.
